Olivetti d-color MF223/MF283
The d-Color MF223 and d-Color MF283 are 2 new colour A3 MFPs which introduce a new product concept in the Olivetti product portfolio: essential features at an affordable price. The d-Color MF223 and d-Color MF283 do not replace any existing models; in fact they are additional models that will significantly enhance and improve the product portfolio. While offering speeds of 22ppm and 28ppm, respectively, their cost-per-copy is very low and, therefore, are suitable for customers with a limited budgets or a requirement for low to medium printing volumes. The d-Color MF223 and d-Color MF283 have been designed so that some of the options are compatible with some of those of the other models, in the range, but they are the first of the new Olivetti machines to feature a separate mono Drum and Developer Unit and combined colour imaging units. These are entry level colour MFPs and have slightly more compact dimensions. Being entry level, they do not require a wide choice in accessories, which helps to keep the cost down. However, a Reverse Document Feeder is available, as a Dual-scan Feeder is not really deemed necessary in small companies or workgroups. They both provide the option of installing fax. They can also handle a maximum format of A3 size paper, up to 256 g/m2 but there is no Fiery Controller option with these two models. On top of this they provide users with a choice of Copy Desk or three different Paper Cassette options as well as two external finishers – a simple Staple Finisher and a Booklet/Staple Finisher. Both can have Hole-punch Kits attached. There is also an Internal Finisher option – ideal for where space is a challenge. While these machines are a bit smaller and have fewer options, they are very energy efficient and highly productive. A special software connector (optional) allows connection to Google Cloud PrintTM directly from the 7” Touch Panel. Airprint® and NFC (Near Field Communication) are standard functions and allow mobile devices to connect directly to all functionalities with user authentication and printing. Finally, the low energy consumption levels allow real cost savings with full eco-compatibility through the use of recycled and recyclable materials.
